The scenes depicting the village environment will be shot in Parbat for the next 20 days. After that, the filming will move to Kathmandu, informed the film's director, Bikki Agarawal.
Almost all the film's cast members have arrived at the shooting location. Actresses Tripti Nadkar, Rekha Thapa, Diya Maskey, and actors Subhash Gajurel, Mahesh Tripathi, Subarna Thapa, along with others, are currently on site.
Actress Gauri Malla will join the team in a few days, informed the film’s co-director, Shraddha Prasai. According to Prasai, shooting commenced today, and a few more artists will join in between.
The film 'Kaka Kiki' is being produced by the team behind the popular comedy show 'Comedy Durbar'. The film is being directed by the two directors of 'Comedy Durbar'—Bikki and Shraddha—while the writers include Bikki along with Bikash Aryal and Saroj Bhandari.
Furthermore, Bikki is also credited for the screenplay, and Bishwas Timilsina is serving as the script doctor. Anish Budhathoki is the assistant director. Sudip Baral is handling the cinematography (DOP).
The production team formally announced the film by releasing a poster in the second week of last July. The poster depicted actresses Rekha Thapa, Gauri Malla, Tripti Nadkar, and actor Mahesh Tripathi in unusual avatars.
This poster suggests that the film's story is mysterious. OSR Digital holds the film's digital rights, while Seven Seas International holds the international rights.
