Most Private Petrol Pumps in Kathmandu Shut Down After Fuel Prices Drop
Most private petrol pumps in the Kathmandu Valley remained closed on Wednesday after the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) slashed petroleum prices by 20 Rupees per liter. Following the price drop, many private fuel stations halted sales, citing potential losses on their existing stock.
The NOC had adjusted the new petroleum prices effective from Tuesday night. Due to the sudden closures, members of the general public who went to refuel their vehicles at various locations were forced to return empty-handed.
