Singer Bijay Lama Honored in New York by Assembly Member Steven Raga

Kathmandu. Singer Bijay Lama has been honored in New York City, USA. New York Assembly Member Steven Raga of District 30, Queens, presented the honor to singer Lama. During the Lhosar Night 2026 program organized by the Bhotekoshi Society America, singer Lama performed his popular songs, including "Nakhanu Pani Tongba Ko," "Bholi Pharki Aauchhu Aaudina," and "Khasa Bazaar." 

The sight of hundreds of audience members dancing along with singer Lama was captivating. On that occasion, Akbar Syangtan, President of the Bhotekoshi Society America, expressed his happiness over the grand success of the program. 

He stated that such cultural programs would continue in the future to preserve their art, culture, and traditions. Syangtan, who has been living abroad with his family for a long time, expressed his gratitude to the audience in attendance, well-wishers at home and abroad, and everyone who helped make the program a success.
