28th Series of Aksharhaurko Aawaj: Suraj Gaihre’s Novel ‘Jetho Chhoro’ Released
Dubai: Aksharharuko Aawaj, a creator meetup and creative recitation forum in the UAE, has completed its 28th series. The program was held with the physical presence of over two dozen Nepali creators residing in the UAE, featuring poetry recitations, book releases, and a tea gathering.
The event took place at Love Lake Park in Al Qudra, Dubai. It was attended by program chair and forum coordinator J. Sagar, Nepal Government Tourism Promotion Envoy (UAE Head) Manoj Nepal, President of Sindhupalchowk Sewa Samaj Subas Neupane, Shramik Sanjal representative Shankar Prasad Basyal, INS President Megh Prasad Dhamala, and Sahityapost UAE Coordinator Raj Yatri Lamsal as guests.
Presiding over the program, J. Sagar mentioned in his welcome speech that although the forum is not a formal organization, it serves as a common platform for literary minds in the UAE.
He stated that the forum has become an important platform especially for emerging writers writing from the UAE. He further explained that with the aim of making the 28th series unique, a night-time Mushaira was organized for the first time in a setting close to nature.
During the program, three books were jointly released: the novel ‘Jetho Chhoro’ written by Suraj Gaihre ‘Bibash’, the poetry collection ‘Pahadko Paitala’ by poet Chandra Samhamphe, and the work ‘Purano Panna’ published by Shramik Sanjal. Regarding the novel ‘Jetho Chhoro’, author Suraj Gaihre shed light on the book's background, stating, "This is not just a life, but a reflection of an era."
In the creative recitation session, Sandhya Suskera, Bhim Belbase, Shankar Basyal, Nakul Paudel, Ekraj Thapa, Hari Parajuli, Raj Yatri Lamsal, J. Sagar, Abhi Tiwari, Madan Shahi, Lokendra Chhetri ‘Yatri’, Suraj Gaihre, Lokraj Bhusal, Prem Gautam, Harihar Kandel, Shree Bhawani Nepal, DL Ghimire, Megh Prasad Dhamala, and Kanchho Bhupendra Acharya recited their works.
The program was jointly conducted by poet and Ghazalist Shree Bhawani Nepal and poet DL Ghimire. The event started at 9:30 PM local time and continued until 3:30 AM.
