NEJA to Celebrate World Press Freedom Day in Washington D.C.
The Nepal America Journalists Association (NEJA), in collaboration with the Nepalese Embassy in the United States, is set to celebrate World Press Freedom Day by organizing an event in Washington D.C. An interaction program titled "Full Press Freedom for Good Governance and Democracy, and the Practice of Press Freedom in America and Nepal" is scheduled for May 3.
During the interaction, Professor Chad Stebbins of the University of Missouri, who is also the Executive Director of the Missouri Press Association and the International Society of Weekly Newspaper Editors, and Krishna Sharma, former Acting President of the Nepal America Journalists Association, will present concept papers. Nepali journalists from various states will attend the event.
