Shobha Pathak Arrives at Kathmandu Police Range Demanding Arrest of Mahesh Basnet

Kathmandu. Shobha Pathak has reached the District Police Range Kathmandu with an application demanding the arrest of CPN-UML Secretary Mahesh Basnet. She had previously filed a complaint against Basnet, accusing him of rape. On Sunday, she visited the District Police Range Kathmandu and the Government Attorney's Office demanding Basnet's immediate arrest.

Speaking with journalists on the office premises, she expressed confidence that the new government would provide her with justice. She alleged that Basnet, who should have been arrested earlier, was kept by KP Oli to take care of him while in custody.

"Justice should not be given by looking at me, but by looking at hundreds of pieces of evidence. Why can't Mahesh Basnet be arrested? A written response is required. Basnet should have been arrested the other day. Oli used his intellect to keep his 'son' with him to take care of him; they will stay together now." Stating that justice has now begun from Gorkha, she praised the performance of Home Minister Sudhan Gurung.
