Filming of the Movie ‘Stri’ Directed by Jeevan Shahi Completed
Kathmandu – The filming of the movie Stri, written and directed by Jeevan Shahi, has been completed. According to Director Shahi, all scenes have been shot around Kathmandu, with only one song sequence remaining.
Produced by Samir Rai under the banner of Mela Recording Studio, the movie is based on a story by Director Shahi himself. Kishan Aryal assisted Shahi in the screenplay. Cinematography was done by Ramsharan Upreti.
The music is composed by Babul Giri, with Subash Kafle as the project manager, Dev Maharjan as the action director, Chandra Bhandari as the chief assistant director, Shyam Baral in charge of makeup, and costume design by Sukunita Chaulagain.
Co-producers include Sahadev Bishta, Pramod Bhattarai, Pratik, Rita Shrestha, and Manju Rajbanshi. This is Shahi’s debut feature film, having previously directed hundreds of music videos.
The movie, based on a social story, features Pramod Agrahari, Salon Basnet, Rista Basnet, Namrata Shrestha, Dinesh DC, and Deepa Shri Niraula in lead roles. Child actor Dipson Chilwal also stars in the film.
Producer Samir Rai stated that post-production will begin soon, and the team will announce the release date and begin promotion shortly. The digital rights of the movie, which highlights women-centric stories, have been acquired by OSR Digital.
