Rasuwa Flood: Death Toll Reaches 1,411, Over 5,875 Still Missing

Kathmandu. It has been confirmed that 1,411 people have lost their lives so far due to the floods in Rasuwa. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority released the casualty and rescue details in an updated report as of 7:00 PM on Saturday. Among the deceased found, the records account for 549 men, 336 women, and 526 partial human remains. The authority stated that 5,875 people are still missing in the floodwaters.

The floods have caused human casualties across various districts. According to the collected details, Chitwan has reported the highest number of fatalities at 364. Similarly, 232 people have died in Nawalparasi East, 222 in Nawalparasi West, 203 in Nuwakot, 199 in Rasuwa, 72 in Gorkha, 72 in Dhading, and 38 in Tanahun. During the search and rescue operations, 13,784 people have been rescued safely so far.

In the rescue efforts, 1,692 aerial flights have been completed by the Nepali Army and 320 by the Armed Police Force to date.
