Sol Gurung Debuts in Nepali Film Industry with Milan Chams' 'Sumnima'

Kathmandu. A new actress has entered the Nepali film industry through the romantic movie 'Sumnima', directed by Milan Chams. The team, which recently returned after completing the first phase of shooting in London, has publicly introduced the film's lead actress, Sol Gurung.

Sol, who has been residing in London for a long time, is making her debut with this film. She has previously modeled in some music videos.

Although the title of the film, which is being produced under the joint investment of Gorkha Films and Chams Entertainment, sounds like a female-centric story, director Chams has stated that it will be a pure love story.

Sol Gurung, Kunsang Bomjan, Anoop Bikram Shahi, Dhiren Shakya, Maotse Gurung, Suraj Tamu, Aakash Sunuwar, Salina Thapa, and Sushma Subba will be seen in the main roles in the film.

According to director Chams, the film will be based on a universal story and will be produced targeting the international market. The second phase of shooting for 'Sumnima', which is being written by Rajeev Thapa, is now scheduled to take place in Nepal.

Director Milan Chams, who has established himself as a powerful filmmaker by directing successful films of different genres such as 'Bir Bikram', 'Lily Billy', 'Blind Rocks', 'Bobby', 'Gorkha Warrior', and 'Anjila', saw his last film 'Anjila' achieve blockbuster success. Furthermore, that biopic film set a record for the highest grossing film in the history of Nepali cinema.
