Young Star Anmol KC's 'Jeri On Top' Creates History: Gross Collection Crosses 1 Crore on Ninth Day!

Kathmandu. The film 'Jeri On Top', released for public viewing on October 17 (Ashoj 31), has continued its aggressive performance at the box office, setting a new record. The movie, which hit the screens with housefull business from its first day, achieved a rare success in the Nepali film industry by grossing over 1 Crore on its ninth day of screening.

This is a significant milestone, as achieving a single-day collection of over one crore rupees in the second week of business is a rarity for the Nepali film industry. The film, starring young star Anmol KC, has achieved this success and positioned itself at the forefront as the highest-grossing Nepali film of the year so far.

According to producer Saroj Neupane, the film collected precisely NRs. 1,01,32,813.33 (One Crore One Lakh Thirty-Two Thousand Eight Hundred Thirteen Rupees and Thirty-Three Paisa) on Saturday alone.

By releasing the real-time box office report provided by the Film Development Board, Neupane announced that his film had crossed the 1 Crore milestone in a single day on its ninth day of release.

The audience craze for the film, which has maintained aggressive business day after day, remains equally high on Sunday.

Advance online booking indicates that this trend is set to continue, as most cinema halls across the country that have scheduled Sunday shows—typically considered an off-day—are already housefull even before the shows begin. The film's strong audience pull is evident not only in the capital city of Kathmandu but also in major cities and even rural areas across the country.

The film has received excellent praise for the acting of the cast, the Himalayan cinematography, the direction, the background score, and the editing. Audiences have particularly lauded the excellent triangular love chemistry between the main cast members: Anmol KC, Aanchal Sharma, and Jassita Gurung.

Additionally, the performances of veteran actor Bhuwan KC (making his screen comeback after a long time), popular comedian Kedar Ghimire, Usha Khadgi, and Surakshya Panta have also garnered high praise from the audience.

Directed by Suyog Gurung and shot by Dulip Regmi, the film is presented by Ananya Films. The film had already collected over 5 Crore in its first week alone, though the full collection report beyond that period is yet to be officially released.
