‘Paran’ Enters Third Week, Earns Over 7.5 Crores, Secures 210 Shows
Kathmandu – Emerging as a box office surprise, Paran has now entered its remarkable third week of release. As it steps into the third week, this emotional family drama has managed to gross over 7 crore 50 lakh rupees within just two weeks.
In its third week of screening, the film’s show count has also generated a strong buzz. The movie secured as many as 210 shows across the country today (Friday) alone. Due to the strong audience turnout, cinemas have allocated this number of shows for the film. It is expected that the same number of shows will continue tomorrow as well, given that it is a public holiday.
Since there are no new major Nepali or Hindi film releases at the moment, the Nepali film fraternity believes that Paran is likely to enjoy a long run at the box office. Initially, the film had received only 64 shows upon release, and earned a modest 6 lakh rupees at the box office on its first day.
Currently, the film is receiving enthusiastic responses from both audiences and critics. Its storyline, which portrays the lives of typical Nepali families, has made the film popular among viewers.
Paran marks the directorial debut of Deepak Prasad Acharya. The film has been produced by Baiscope Cinema—a company co-owned by Shekhar Golchha of the Golchha Group and Ranjit Acharya of Prisma Advertising.
The cast includes Neer Shah, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Pooja Chand, Keki Adhikari, Mahesh Tripathi, Praveen Khatiwada, Anjana Baraili, Buddhi Tamang, and others.
