'Paran' film: I accepted it because of the subject matter, more than the number of scenes: Anjana Baraili

Kathmandu. The lead role in the family film 'Paran', set for release on Kartik 14, features veteran actor Neer Shah. The film tells the story of a father whose wish is for his son to remain in his sight until the end of his life.

Anjana Baraili, a busy actress in Nepali cinema lately, although not in the main role, said she accepted the film due to its subject matter rather than the number of scenes. She also says that this film will be on the list of movies one would seek out to watch.

"The sole reason I am associated with this is its subject. It falls under the category of films I seek out to watch," she said, "Whatever work has been done, it has been done well, and I am very excited to watch this film in the cinema hall. Even during dubbing, I told them this film should be released during Dashain, whereas I usually don't say such things."

According to Anjana, as Dashain and Tihar are festivals with a family atmosphere, she suggested the production team release the film during Dashain because it would be suitable for those who desire to watch a good family film during the festival.

"Given the type and context in which it has been made, it's a film that should be released during the festive season. But we are releasing it after the festivals are over," she said.

Anjana claims that this film will be liked by audiences of all age groups. According to her, it encompasses the stories of people of all ages. Although Neer Shah is in the lead role, Anjana says that the audience will remember her role next.

About her character, she said, "In the film, I am in a somewhat amicable character. Various situations within the story present me that way. I see my character being very memorable. The nature of the 'Roopa' character I have played is one to be remembered. Neer Shah will be noticed immediately, and then I will be. I am promoting it this way because the character is strong."

Even as the release date is nearing, Anjana is not overly anxious. She is completely confident that the film will win the audience's hearts. The film 'Paran' is directed by debut director Deepak Prasad Acharya (Kaku). The story is also by Acharya, and the screenplay and dialogue were prepared by Yam Thapa.

The film has been produced by 'Baiskop Cinema Pvt. Ltd.', a company established in partnership between the country's prestigious business house, the Golchha Group, and the Prisma Group.

Besides veteran actor Neer Shah, Mahesh Shah, and Anjana Baraili, the film features the acting talents of Madankrishna Shrestha, Pooja Chand, Keki Adhikari, Pravin Khatiwada, Buddhi Tamang, Yaseli Yonghang, Babin Rai, Pushparaj Ojha, Seema Kafle, Daman Rupakheti, Yaman Shrestha, Subrat Raj Acharya, Suresh Thapa, Binod Rai, and child artist Aryadeep Acharya.anjana-baraili-5-1760611795.jpg
