NRRC 2025 Concludes with Thrilling Final Round at Himalayan Motorland

Kathmandu, Nepal – The Final Round of the Nepal Road Racing Championship (NRRC) 2025, presented by Yamaha as the Title Sponsor, concluded with high energy and thrilling competition on 20th December 2025 at Dhulikhel Race Track.

The championship wrapped up the racing season on a powerful note, bringing together some of the finest motorcycle racers in the country along with a large gathering of racing enthusiasts, motorsport supporters, and industry representatives.

Yamaha has a long-standing connection with motorsports in Nepal, having consistently supported organized racing events, rider training programs, and national-level championships such as NRRC over the years.

Through initiatives like one-make racing formats, technical support, and structured competition platforms, Yamaha has contributed to building a professional racing culture and nurturing local riding talent.

NRRC 2025 featured three competitive categories: National, Novices, and Women. To ensure fair competition and focus on rider ability, all participants raced on the Yamaha R15, a motorcycle widely recognized for its racing DNA, balance, and track-focused engineering.

The R15’s proven performance on both national and international racing circuits made it an ideal choice for the championship, allowing riders to showcase their skills in speed control, cornering, and race strategy. The single-bike format also reflected Yamaha’s commitment to promoting standardized racing platforms that emphasize talent development over mechanical advantage.

In the National Category, the title was claimed by Mr Shreehari Poudel, a multiple-time National Champion, who once again proved his dominance on the circuit. With consistent lap times, sharp cornering, and race intelligence, Poudel delivered a commanding performance, reinforcing his status as one of Nepal’s most accomplished motorcycle racers.

The Novices Category highlighted the rise of promising new talents, with Abhi Risal winning the Novices title through an impressive performance.

Similarly, the Women’s Category showcased determination, confidence, and growing participation of women in motorsports as Barsha Basnet took home the commanding win. Both categories reflected NRRC’s role in nurturing future champions and promoting inclusivity within the racing ecosystem.

Winners from NRRC 2025 are set to participate in upcoming international racing events, providing them with exposure to global competition and opportunities to represent Nepal on an international platform.

By participating in a significant championship like this, Yamaha continues to play a pivotal role in shaping Nepal’s motorsports culture by creating a professional racing ecosystem that nurtures local riding talent, promotes safe, competitive, and skill-driven racing, and elevates motorsports standards across the country.

Through its long-term commitment to racing, Yamaha is helping build a sustainable platform where Nepali riders can grow, compete, and aspire to international success.nrrc-2025-(2)-1766553290.jpg
