Love Story Song'Mayama Mayama' Officially Released

A new romantic song, “Maya ma Maya ma,” featuring the voices of singer Santosh Basyal and Asmita Adhikari, and presented by Jaspal Pakhrin Tamang, was unveiled at a grand event in Pokhara. The song's lyrics were written by Dr. Jaspal Pakhrin Tamang and Anita Poudel, with music composed by Santosh Basyal and arranged by Subin Century. The high-quality cinematic music video, directed by Netra Gurung, stars Sushan Pakhrin Tamang and Binu Magar.

The video captures the stunning natural beauty of Lamjung's Humkhola Waterfall, Ngadi Dam, Upper Marshyangdi Hydropower, Peace Hill Resort, and Kaski's Astam and Phewa Lake areas. 

Producer Dr. Jaspal Pakhrin Tamang revealed that the song is deeply personal, based on his own love story with his wife, Narshobha Gurung. Chief Guest Tirtha Shrestha praised the Pokhara-made creation for emphasizing the need for powerful music videos alongside audio. Musician Sunil Thapa suggested focusing on digital promotion for the excellent work.

Santosh Basyal confirmed the song is an example of an outstanding music video produced locally in Pokhara and has been released through OSR Digital. The team is confident that this emotional music video, blending love and the beauty of Pokhara, will elevate the city's musical stature.
