Sarita Bharti Enjoys the Waves in “Lahar Jhai”

A new Nepali song titled “Lahar Jhai” (Like a Wave), written by lyricist Dabbu Kshatri, has been released recently to celebrate the festive season of Dashain.

The pop-style song is sung by Benisa Poudel, with Jugal Dangol composing and arranging the music. The music video has been released on SB Creation Nepal’s official YouTube channel, produced by Bilakshan Creation and directed by lyricist Dabbu Kshatri himself.

The song portrays the freedom, enthusiasm, and dreams of a young woman who wishes to live joyfully and fly freely like a bird. The entire video has been shot in Malaysia, featuring model and singer Sarita Bharti in a solo performance that reflects the song’s theme of independence and self-expression.

According to cinematographer and photojournalist Badri Thapa, the video was filmed in a travel-style format, capturing beautiful Malaysian beaches and scenic locations. The editing and color grading were done by Birendra Bhat “Bipin.”

Lyricist Dabbu Kshatri shared that the line “Lahar jhai saagarma naachna man lagyo, haasdai kheldai ramaudai baachna man lagyo” (“I feel like dancing in the waves, laughing and living joyfully”) reflects the core message of the song — to inspire young women to dream freely and live independently.
