Nikhil Upreti and Barsha Siwakoti to Star in New Nepali Suspense Thriller 'Kasturi'
Kathmandu. A new Nepali film titled 'Kasturi', starring Nikhil Upreti and Barsha Siwakoti in the lead roles, is set to be produced. The formal announcement of the film's production was made by the production team on Sunday.
Dhiraj Agrawal, who has established a distinct identity in the corporate sector by running various industries and businesses through Ten Plast Industries Pvt. Ltd., has now stepped into the entertainment industry. He is producing 'Kasturi' under the banner of Ten Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. as a producer.
The film, which features a story and direction by Rit Bohara, is set to be a suspense thriller. According to him, the movie will present a story blended with mystery, fear, and curiosity. Director Bohara states that the film will cover subjects like psychological stress, murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy.
This will be the first time Nikhil Upreti and Barsha Siwakoti share the screen.
Joining them are Nisha Adhikari, Brajesh Khanal, Shekhar Chapagain, and Nirmal Sharma, while the selection of other cast members and the technical crew is ongoing.
The film has been written by Brajesh Khanal. Dhiraj Kumar Agrawal is the producer, while Anjali Chaudhary is the co-producer. Cinematography will be handled by Alok Shukla, and the chief associate direction will be led by Lalit Bisht.
Prashant Siwakoti will compose the music for the film, and the lyrics will be written by Yuvraj Kafle. The film’s publicity design will be done by Trident, and Dilip Panta is the production manager.
According to the production side, the shooting for 'Kasturi' will commence from the upcoming Mangsir (November/December) in Kathmandu and surrounding areas.
The production team also informed that arrangements for digital marketing and international market management will be finalized soon.
