Kamane Premier League: Wins for Expert Vision-11 and Kamane Lions
Hetauda. In the ongoing fourth edition of the Kamane Premier League in Hetauda, Kamane Expert Vision-11 recorded its first victory on Sunday, while Kamane Lions secured their second consecutive win. In Sunday's match, Expert Vision-11 opened its winning account by defeating Kamane Riders by 71 runs in their second game of the tournament.
After winning the toss and batting first, Expert Vision-11 scored 186 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Sanjeev Thapa played an outstanding unbeaten innings of 97 runs for the team, while Sujit Patel contributed 41 runs and Irfan Ali added 36 runs. In the bowling department, Expert Vision's Asim Shrestha, Sanjeev Thapa, and Sagar Magar took 2 wickets each. Chasing a target of 187 runs, Kamane Riders were bowled out for 116 runs in 19.5 overs.
Bishnu Raut scored the highest for the Riders with 33 runs. In bowling, Nabi Alam took 2 wickets, while Pravin Ghimire and Ram Naresh Giri took 1 wicket each. Due to his excellent performance, Sanjeev Thapa was declared the 'Player of the Match'. Previously, Expert Vision-11 had lost to Kamane ePlanet Blasters by 6 wickets in the opening match.
Similarly, in another match held on Sunday, Kamane Lions secured their second consecutive win of the tournament by defeating Kamane Third Eye by 8 wickets. Batting first, Kamane Third Eye could only manage 113 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.
The Lions reached the target of 114 runs in just 10.5 overs with the loss of 2 wickets. Shuva Kansakar played an explosive innings of 76 runs for the Lions. Additionally, he delivered an all-round performance by taking 4 wickets for 11 runs in bowling and was declared the Player of the Match.
Kansakar has been named Player of the Match for the second consecutive time in the tournament. Previously, he was also declared the best player in Saturday's win against Kamane Royals. Organized by the Kamane Cricket Club in Hetauda-8, the tournament, which started on Saturday, will run until February 1st.
The winner of the tournament will receive 100,000 rupees and the runner-up will receive 50,000 rupees in cash, along with a shield, medals, and certificates. There is also a provision of 5,000 rupees each for individual categories. The main sponsor of the tournament is the Hetauda School of Management.
