Milan Tamang Announces New Film ‘Kahaan Bhetiela’

Kathmandu — Successful director of Maitighar, Milan Tamang, has announced his new film ‘Kahaan Bhetiela’.

According to the production team, filming for the movie will begin on Chaitra 20 and is planned to be completed by the end of Jestha. Meanwhile, the song sequences will be shot in Magh. The release date of the film has not yet been finalized.

Director Tamang has not yet revealed which actors and technical team members will be part of the film. He said,
“We have only released the film’s title for now. Detailed information about the cast and crew will be shared in a few days.”

Tamang began his directorial journey with ‘Maitighar’, which received wide acclaim from audiences. Because of this, he also earned the title of ‘Number 1 Debut Director of 2082 BS’.

Among the three films released together during Dashain’s Phoolpati—‘Hari Bahadurko Jutta’, ‘Balidan’, and ‘Maitighar’—audiences praised ‘Maitighar’ for its direction.

‘Maitighar’ not only performed well at the box office but also established Milan Tamang’s name firmly in the Nepali film industry. He is considered highly skilled in film, animation, classical music, and acting.

While Maitighar continues to run nationwide, he said,
“I will take ‘Kahaan Bhetiela’ to the next level and offer audiences a fresh experience.”

According to film industry analysts, both Milan Tamang and ‘Maitighar’ have become hot topics of discussion across the country—from street corners and tea shops to social media. Supporters say he has set a new benchmark in Nepali film direction, even competing with big-budget films like ‘Balidan’.
