Anmol KC's 'Jerry On Top' Heads to Canada, Distribution Rights Acquired by Prachar
Pokhara - The distribution rights for the Nepali film 'Jerry On Top' in Canada have been secured by the organization 'Prachar'. Prachar, which has been involved in screening Nepali films and organizing various events abroad, signed the agreement with the film's producer, Vivek Thapa, on Friday.
According to Prachar Nepal Pvt. Ltd.'s operator, Ashish Puri, the distribution rights were acquired for Canada due to high audience demand. He also mentioned that booking for the film is already open in Canada.
Sajan Jang Pandey of Prachar stated that 'Jerry On Top' will be screened in major Canadian cities starting from November 1st. Prachar has previously distributed Nepali films in Canada, including Purnabahadurko Sarangi, Tel Visa, Chhakka Panja 5, and Hraswa Deergha, and also organizes various musical events.
Starring Anmol KC, Jassita Gurung, and Aanchal Sharma, 'Jerry On Top' has been running in Nepali theaters since October 17th (Ashoj 31). Producer Thapa reported that the film is still seeing house-full shows in its second week and has already earned over 6 crore Nepali Rupees (more than 60 million NPR). Presenter Saroj Neupane added that 75,000 viewers have watched the film so far.
Directed by Suyog Gurung, the film centers on a love story that unfolds during an expedition and journey to climb Mount Everest. The cast also includes artists like Bhuwan KC, Kedar Ghimire, Usha Khadgi, and Surakshya Panta. The film is also currently being screened in the USA, Australia, and Malta.
