High Demand for 'Jerry On Top' in Theatres

Kathmandu. Actor Anmol KC, who has been tagged as a youth star, is coming to the screen after nearly a year and a half. Anmol-starrer film 'Jerry On Top' is set for public release this Friday (Asoj 31).

With three days remaining until the release, some theatres have already opened bookings for the film. FQube Cinema opened the booking for this film on Monday evening. Due to the high demand from the audience, FQube added shows less than 24 hours after opening advance booking for 'Jerry On Top' on their website.

On Monday, FQube had made 5 shows available for the film, and on Tuesday morning, they added one more show, making it 6 shows. Similarly, due to the high demand for the film, Pathibhara Hall in Birtamod also added shows right from the beginning, increasing from 3 shows to 4 shows.

QFX, the country's largest multiplex chain, has not opened bookings yet, while the second-largest chain, INI Cinemas, is gradually opening bookings, and i-Plex Hall has made 5 shows available in Kalimati and 7 shows in Baneshwor.

The film's distributor, Karan Shrestha, stated that 'Jerry On Top' has been the most demanded film by audiences and theatres in the last year. "The craze for the film was aggressive even when bookings opened in only two halls," Shrestha said, "Bookings will open in all theatres across the country by Wednesday evening, and the initial impact from FQube and Pathibhara is certain to influence other theatres as well."

Directed by Suyog Gurung, the film stars actresses Aanchal Sharma and Jassita Gurung opposite Anmol. Veteran actor Bhuwan KC, Kedar Ghimire, Usha Khadgi, and Suraksha Panta also have leading roles. The film, produced under the banner of 'Ananya Films', is constructed by Saroj Neupane.

Robin Sherchan, Ramkrishna Shrestha, Deepak Bhandari, and Bhavisya Khadka collaborated with Neupane in the production of the film, which features cinematography by Dulip Regmi. The story of the film is by Hemraj BC.
