Dayahang Rai's Different Look in 'Baristha Balaram' is Loved by the Audience

Kathmandu. Actor Dayahang Rai is seen in a distinctly different avatar in the film 'Baristha Balaram', an appearance that has been warmly received by the audience. Often seen portraying poor, rural characters in his films, Dayahang Rai now appears in a suit, tie, and coat, embodying a character with a high social standing.

His new look and wardrobe have struck a chord with viewers. He plays a respected figure whose authority is acknowledged by the police, administration, and society. Beyond his acting prowess, which has consistently won hearts, his transition to a well-to-do, urban persona has been praised.

This successful portrayal suggests that filmmakers may now begin to cast Dayahang in more urban roles, potentially helping him avoid typecasting.

The film, which was released on Kartik 6 (October 23), is currently enjoying positive word-of-mouth feedback. Audiences have appreciated the story's theme—that the bond of emotion can be just as strong as the bond of blood—and its narrative on the exploitation of local resources.

'Baristha Balaram' is directed by Surendra Paudel. It is a presentation of Vrishab Siddhi Entertainment in collaboration with Aanvi Films, featuring a cast that includes Dayahang Rai, Vijay Baral, Samriddhi Aryal, Pashupati Rai, Maotse Gurung, Bholaraj Sapkota, Rambabu Regmi, and Pradip Kumar Chaudhary (PK).

Director Paudel is also responsible for the story and editing, while Mahesh Dawadi wrote the screenplay.
