Singer Anjana Gurung's Solo Musical Program to be Held on Kartik 21st

Kathmandu– The solo musical program of popular Nepali modern singer Anjana Gurung, titled 'Ekal Sangitik Karyakram–2082' (Solo Musical Program-2082), is set to take place in Kathmandu on Kartik 21st (Friday).

Singer Gurung, a renowned name in the field of Nepali modern music and a successful playback singer in Nepali cinema for over two decades, will present her magical voice at the event organized by Tika Gopal M. Creation.

Gita Singh, the Chairman of the organizing body, Tika Gopal M. Creation, confirmed that the program will feature performances of Singer Gurung's popular songs. Gurung's repertoire includes hundreds of hit songs such as "Aankhaima Rakhchhu Mero Desh," "Ma Ta Kali Sundari," "Badnam Bhaye Ma Timrai Karanle," "Thyakai Bhetaunla," among others.

The event is not just an entertainment opportunity but also a platform to express gratitude towards Nepali music and Singer Gurung's contributions.

'Kanhaiya-Anjana National Music Award' Presentation

On the special occasion of the solo musical program, the 'Kanhaiya–Anjana Rastriya Sangeet Puraskar– 2082' (Kanhaiya-Anjana National Music Award 2082) will be presented.

The award, established under the patronage of Singer Gurung and by the renowned singing duo Kanhaiya Singh Pariyar and Anjana Gurung, carries a cash prize of Fifty-One Thousand Rupees (Rs. 51,000).

This year, the prestigious award will be conferred upon Senior Singer Kamal B.K. 'Nirmohi'.

Kamal B.K. 'Nirmohi' has been actively involved in the preservation and promotion of Nepali songs for a long time, particularly by presenting the original melodies and folk tunes from the Mid-Western and Far-Western regions to Nepali audiences. It is also noted that the singer is currently suffering from a kidney ailment.

In previous years, the 'Kanhaiya-Anjana National Music Award' was presented to Senior Singer Chandra Kala Shah (2078), Senior Lyricist Bishwo Ballav (2079), Senior Musician Krishna Gandharbha (2080), and Senior Folk Singer Resham Thapa (2081).
