Actress Samriddhi Aryal: My Role in ‘Barishtha Balaram’ is Impactful

Kathmandu. Actress Samriddhi Aryal has stated that she has an impactful role in the film ‘Barishtha Balaram’. She mentioned that her presence will be at significant places and times in the movie.

"Wherever I appear, I feel the role is impactful," Samriddhi says, "I have gotten a role that will influence the two lead characters."

Working opposite Vijay Baral, she mentioned trying to operate within Vijay's zone in the cinema. "Both Vijay Baral and Dayahang Rai are senior artists and excellent actors, and their manner of speaking is also good, so it was definitely a challenge," she says, "This film became a learning opportunity for me."

She recalled that when she was first offered the film, hearing the names Dayahang and Vijay made her wonder if she could handle the job. However, she accepted the role, realizing it was a great opportunity to learn.

She shared that while working on her first film, ‘Farki Farki’, was easier because many of the cast members were new, working on ‘Barishtha Balaram’ with senior, experienced actors brought both a sense of hesitation and a learning experience.

However, she asserts that her role in the film is not just a "showpiece." She insists that her role is significant, even between the two senior and outstanding actors. "My character is an impactful one that helps the journey of Balaram's character," Samriddhi adds.

She believes the character in 'Barishtha Balaram' will help her cinematic career. Appearing as the character Kushum, she said, "I don't know how popular this character will be tomorrow. But I believe it's one that the audience will remember."

‘Barishtha Balaram’ will be released on Kaartik 6 (November 1, 2024), coinciding with Bhai Tika (Tihar). Surendra Poudel has directed 'Barishtha Balaram'.

The cast of ‘Barishtha Balaram’ includes Dayahang Rai, Vijay Baral, Samriddhi Aryal, Pashupati Rai, Maotse Gurung, Bholaraj Sapkota, Rambabu Regmi, and Pradeep Kumar Chaudhary (PK), among others.

The film's story and editing are also by director Poudel, while the screenplay was written by Mahesh Dawadi.

Presented by Vrishab Siddhi Entertainment in association with Aanvi Films, the producers are Ashish H Tamang and Shreeraj Karki. Pradeep G Dhami and Puskar B Ghimire are the executive producers, and Ram Bisht is the line producer.

The cinematography is by Mankrishna Maharjan, with music by Prashant Siwakoti, action direction by Samrat Basnet, and choreography by Pradeep Lama.

The film will be distributed by DCN in the Kathmandu Valley and Kuber Cine Distribution outside the valley.
