N-PABSON Kaski's Second Grand Child Talent Identification Festival Begins
Pokhara. The second Grand Child Talent Identification Festival – 2082, organized by National PABSON, Kaski, commenced on Wednesday.
The festival will run until Mansir 26 (December 12) at the Pokhara Exhibition Centre. A total of 1,500 students from 43 schools affiliated with N-PABSON Kaski will compete in various categories in the competition. Trophies and medals will be awarded to the winning schools and students.
The Child Talent Identification events include Group Folk Dance, Solo Singing, Drawing/Painting, Poetry Recitation, Acting, Science and Technology Exhibition, Handicrafts, and the English Oratory Competition.
Students from grade 9 to 12 will participate in the English Oratory Competition, while students from grade 1 to 10 will participate in the other competitions.
Inaugurating the festival, Dilli Raj Bhatta, the Province Chief of Gandaki Province, said that this festival has worked to uncover the potential of children. "The state, family, and school must work together to uncover every kind of talent inherent in children," he said. "Only then will those capabilities of the children make an extraordinary contribution to society." He further mentioned that children should be involved not just in textbook knowledge but also in practical knowledge.
Subash Neupane, Central President of National PABSON, stated that every activity carried out by N-PABSON Kaski is excellent. "Every student arrives with some potential; only by identifying those talents can every student achieve distinctiveness in their field," he said. "By organizing various programs in one place, N-PABSON Kaski has worked to highlight the students' abilities." He stressed that education now should be the kind that connects with life, the world, and technology.
National Examination Board, Gandaki Province Pokhara Director Bhaskar Raj Panta, National PABSON Central General Secretary Prakash Khadka, HISAN Kaski President Diwakar Jaisi, Nepal Journalists Federation Gandaki Province President Ramesh Poudel, and Buds Academy student Nitubhandari also spoke at the program. The festival was also observed by students and guardians from private and community schools in Kaski and neighboring districts.
Meanwhile, Kaski Modernized Academy won the Cricket tournament title. Kaski clinched the title by defeating Tribeni Public S.S. by 19 runs in the final match held on Tuesday. N-PABSON Kaski had started the cricket competition last year. Last year, Kaski and Tribeni also reached the final, and Kaski was the winner.
Tribeni, who won the toss and chose to field, invited Kaski to bat. Batting first, Kaski made 66 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 10 overs. In response, Tribeni made 46 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 10 overs.
In the same competition, Gyanjyoti Vidyakunj S.S. and National Creation Academy secured third place. Students from grade 1 to 10 participated in the competition. The sports competition was held at Pokhara Stadium from Mansir 20 to 23. New Galaxy won the Futsal tournament title for grades 11 and 12.
The program, presided over by Hemant Adhikari, President of N-PABSON Kaski, featured a welcome address by Vice President Mankaji Gurung and was moderated by Secretary Prem Raj Adhikari.
