Two Youths from Inaruwa Die in Motorcycle Accident
Inaruwa: Two young men from Inaruwa-3 died in a motorcycle accident in Itahari last night.
According to the District Police Office, Sunsari, the deceased have been identified as 29-year-old Paras Thapa and 34-year-old Sagar Regmi, both residents of Inaruwa-3.
The accident occurred when the motorcycle, traveling from Itahari toward Inaruwa, lost control and flipped over at a culvert located on the border of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City Ward Nos. 7 and 17, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Subash Hamal, Chief of the Area Police Office, Itahari.
Both individuals, who sustained severe injuries in the crash, were taken to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for treatment late last night. Police reported that doctors declared both of them dead during the course of treatment.
One of the deceased, Sagar Regmi, was a contract employee at the District Administration Office, Sunsari, serving as the personal secretary to the Chief District Officer of Sunsari. The other deceased, Paras Thapa, had also been working on a contract basis at the District Administration Office, Sunsari, until recently resigning a short while ago.
Further investigation into the incident is underway, according to the Area Police Office, Itahari.
