Apple Preparing to Launch iPhone 18 Series on September 9
Kathmandu: Apple is preparing to host its annual special event on September 9, where it is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 series. The company has officially announced the date, and there is anticipation that a foldable "iPhone Ultra" could also be revealed for the first time during the event.
The event, set to take place at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, will begin at around 10:45 PM Nepali Time. It will be streamed live via YouTube, Apple's official website, and Apple TV.
According to reports, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to be the main attractions of the event. These models are rumored to feature a new A20 Pro chip, camera enhancements, and several design changes. Additionally, the book-style foldable iPhone Ultra is being analyzed as potentially the biggest design shift in Apple's smartphone history.
In other news, Apple has officially introduced advertisements into its navigation service, Apple Maps. The company stated that this feature will be rolled out to more users over the coming weeks.
Advertisements on Apple Maps will display a blue "Ad" badge, similar to the advertising system long used by Google Maps. According to the company, ads will appear in two places: within suggested places before a search, and alongside relevant search results after a query.
Apple maintained that adding ads to Maps will not compromise user privacy. The company claimed that user location, ad views, and ad interactions will not be linked to Apple Accounts. It asserted that personal information will remain secure on the user's device, will not be collected or stored by Apple, and will not be shared with third parties.
