Karnali Province Government Allocates Budget to Strengthen Local Health Services and Infrastructure
The Karnali Province government has decided to provide budget authorization to specific local levels to implement service strengthening programs for health institutions located in federal constituencies that lack a provincial hospital.
A cabinet meeting held on Thursday approved the allocation of ten million rupees each to three different local levels for this purpose.
According to Binod Kumar Shah, the Minister for Land Management, Agriculture, and Cooperatives and government spokesperson, the government decided to provide ten million rupees to Panchapuri Municipality for Salakot Hospital in Surkhet, ten million rupees to Dullu Municipality for Dullu Hospital in Dailekh, and ten million rupees to Hima Rural Municipality for Kalika Khetu Primary Health Center in Jumla.
In addition to health services, the spokesperson informed that the cabinet decided to seek approval from the Federal Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Finance to authorize six million rupees for the completion of the Area Police Office building in Rakam Karnali, Dailekh.
Furthermore, the meeting approved the temporary staffing structures for the Provincial and Local Road Improvement Project, the Provincial Project Management Unit in Surkhet, and the Rural Road Network Improvement Project.
