NTVA Team from Pokhara Visits Tourist Destinations in Dhorpatan

Pokhara. The promotional team organized by the Nepal Tourist Vehicle Association (NTVA), Gandaki Province, which departed from Pokhara on Wednesday with the objective of promoting domestic tourism, has arrived today in Dhorpatan, a tourist spot in Baglung.

Durga Dutta Dahal, President of the NTVA Gandaki Province, informed that the 45-member team is on a three-day promotional tour for the purpose of promoting domestic tourism, forging tourism partnerships, and conducting on-site observation of tourist destinations.

The team, led by President Dahal, includes Yuvraj Gurung, Senior Officer of the Nepal Tourism Board Gandaki Province; Bobar Jung Gurung, Advisor and Former President of the association; Baburam Pandey, Immediate Past President; Shobhakanta Paudel, President of Pokhareli Taxi Sewa Pvt. Ltd.; and other tourism-related entrepreneurs and media personnel.

President Dahal stated that the program was organized with the aim of promoting tourist destinations within Gandaki Province and enhancing tourism partnerships among local tourism entrepreneurs.

As part of the program, a joint orientation session by the Nepal Tourism Board Gandaki Province and the Nepal Tourist Vehicle Association (NTVA) Gandaki Province was held on Wednesday in Baglung. 

Ravi Prasad Acharya, First Vice President of the association and Program Coordinator, informed that transport entrepreneurs from Kaski, Baglung, Parbat, and Myagdi districts were oriented on tourist hospitality, mandatory tourism-friendly behavior, transport-related acts and regulations, among others.

He further mentioned that the promotional team observed the tourist destinations in Dhorpatan, including the religious and tourist important sites like Uttarganga Dhorbaraha. They also held discussions with local tourism entrepreneurs regarding Dhorpatan's tourism potential and partnerships.

Yuvraj Gurung, Senior Officer of the Nepal Tourism Board Gandaki Province, emphasized that promotion of destinations is necessary for the development of the tourism sector.

Stressing the need for coordination and cooperation among multi-stakeholders alongside destination promotion, he also stated that capacity building among local tourism entrepreneurs is essential.
