Civil Hospital Nurses Stage Peaceful Sit-in Demanding Pay Parity with Government Nurses
Kathmandu. In support of the demands put forth by the Nepal Nursing Association, including the call for service and facility parity with government nurses, nurses working at Civil Hospital staged a peaceful sit-in display using placards.
Nurses working in private hospitals and health training institutions across the country have been protesting for a long time, demanding minimum wages and other benefits. In line with this movement, the nurses at Civil Hospital also showed their solidarity by holding a peaceful sit-in with placards.
They emphasized that demands such as the government-stipulated minimum wage, the implementation of a grade system similar to government employees, fair evaluation of work, and appropriate placement for specialized nurses must be addressed immediately.
The movement, led by the Nepal Nursing Association, has drawn attention from nurses across all health institutions in the country.
