The annual conference of the Liver Transplantation Society of India (LTSI) has been successfully concluded.
The conference was held from November 20 to 23, 2025, at Hotel Pullman, Aerocity, New Delhi. Experts from Nepal and various other countries participated in Delhi at the special invitation of the newly elected President of the Liver Transplantation Society of India, Dr. Abhideep Chaudhary.
From Nepal, participants in the conference included Dr. Dilip Sharma, Dr. Ekananda Singh, Dr. Sagar Paudel, Dr. Rambabu Shah, Dr. Sanjay Yadav, Pukar Chandra Shrestha, Dr. Pukar Thapa, and Dr. Karna Rajbanshi.
According to Dr. Abhideep, the newly elected President of the Liver Transplantation Society of India, "Every successful transplant here is the result of strict protocols, a transparent donor evaluation system, and the continuous commitment of a multidisciplinary team of doctors.
What makes India special is not just the number of transplants, but our values and discipline that guide the process," he said, emphasizing the need to prioritize ethics and a human-centric approach in expanding transplant services.
Dr. Chaudhary stated that liver transplant services in India are developing rapidly. Due to regular research, high-level training, and collaboration among doctors, the success rate of transplants is counted among the world's best.
He added, "The structure we have developed is far beyond mere technical achievement. Respect for the donor, transparency, and the active involvement of families in the treatment process are the strong foundations of our system."
Finally, Dr. Chaudhary mentioned that India leads transplant services in South Asia and is ready to further strengthen neighboring countries like Nepal through technical support, expert training, and experience sharing.
According to him, regional cooperation will play a crucial role in making liver transplant services safer, more effective, and accessible to all.-1764222231.jpeg)
