Veteran Singer Ananda Karki Honored at Global Summit 2025

KATHMANDU – Veteran singer of the Nepali music industry, Ananda Karki, has been honored at an international level.

Karki, who has made a significant contribution to the music sector for the past four decades by presenting numerous songs and ghazals in both Nepali and Hindi, was honored for his contribution to singing at the Global Summit 2025 held in Shantiban, India.

Singer Karki was honored at the summit, which saw the presence of various dignitaries from Nepal and India. Organized on the occasion of the auspicious festival of Deepawali (Tihar), this event also saw the felicitation of several other creators alongside Ananda Karki. He stated that receiving this honor, in the presence of global leaders, artists, and thinkers, filled him with a sense of pride.

Ananda Karki has promoted Nepali music on the international stage by performing in concerts held in various countries. He has also presented his music at numerous musical programs in India. It was in recognition of this extensive contribution that the organizers chose to honor him at the Global Summit 2025.

Upon returning to Kathmandu after accepting the honor, singer Karki expressed his joy, stating, "I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the organizing institution and the entire team. I have been able to receive this honor solely through the love and support of my entire audience and listeners."
