13th Edition of Asian Paints Nepal Kaleidoscope to be Held at Nepal Engineering College

Kathmandu — The 13th edition of the Asian Paints Nepal Kaleidoscope competition is set to take place at Nepal Engineering College (NEC) located in Changunarayan. The Architecture Department of the college has called upon the Architecture batch of 2020 students to participate in the competition.
Students willing to participate have been provided with the competition’s concept and brief. According to the brief, students are required to submit their concepts along with field visits and design proposals by the end of August. Assistant Professor Sweta Amatya from the Architecture Department stated, “This time, only the top three designs from the college level will be selected for the national competition.”
The competition is open to fourth-year undergraduate architecture students. At the college level, outstanding designs will be awarded attractive cash prizes, trophies, and certificates. In the previous competition, college student Puja Rai was awarded the best prize along with NPR 50,000 cash, a trophy, and a certificate.
According to Professor Deepak Pant of NEC’s Architecture Department, the competition is expected to showcase the knowledge, skills, and creativity gained by the students at a national level. The national competition will feature participants from 12 architecture colleges across the country.
Nepal Engineering College has been associated with Asian Paints Nepal since 2012. The first Asian Paints architecture design competition was held for the 2008 batch. The top 15 winners of this competition will get exposure in the architecture industry through Asian Paints Nepal’s annual calendar.
NEC is an esteemed institution affiliated with Pokhara University, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering.
