Excellent response for ‘Shree Bukuro: The Home Calling’ at premier show
The premier of the movie ‘Shree Bukuro: The Home Calling’, which is set to be released on February 13 (Falgun 1), has been held. The production team organized the premier at Big Movies in City Center on Wednesday.
Film directors Tulsi Ghimire, Deepak Prasad Acharya, Chhabiraj Ojha, Jay Kishan Basnet, along with film journalists and the movie's team, were present at the premier show.
After watching the cinema, director Tulsi Ghimire remarked that the film felt more like a painting than something hypocritical. He stated that the film beautifully defines an ancestral home through the word ‘Bukuro’. "While watching the film, it took me back to my old house. Laxmi ji's acting reminded me of my mother," he said.
He mentioned that the film presents small moments of human sensitivity in an enjoyable way, noting that scenes like the childhood playmates (aunt and nephew) meeting in their old age and the character of the greedy uncle are touching and realistic. He felt that the roles of the three sons, who support a mother who slaps and scolds them as needed, were praiseworthy. Meanwhile, producer and distributor Chhabiraj Ojha also gave feedback that 'Shree Bukuro' turned out excellent.
Similarly, actor and director Jay Kishan Basnet shared his experience, saying the cinema felt like reading a novel. He mentioned that every artist in the film performed well. "There is comedy in this film. I really liked the portrayal of family relationships and the acting of all the artists. Laxmi Didi's acting stays in the heart.
Her conversation with Yamaraj and the journey to Muktinath are all presented in an entertaining manner," he said. He added that the activities shown when siblings meet after years depict the realistic trend in our society where one's own people can betray them.
Written and directed by Sudip Bhupal Singh, the cinema is built on the story of home, family, and society. It conveys that old ancestral lands must be preserved. Additionally, it covers themes of family relationships and the obstacles faced when astrological charts (Chinas) do not match in a love life.
Senior actress Laxmi Giri plays the lead role in the cinema. Along with her, artists including Aashirwad B Chhetri, Nikita Acharya, Roshni Karki, Uttam Neupane, Rambabu Regmi, Rajan Ishan, Deepika Thapa, Laya Sangroula, Mohan Niraula, Geeta Thapa, Sapana Shrestha, Aashika Shahi, Deepak Karki, and Rajina Bishwokarma have acted in the film.
Invested in by Ruby Sen Singh, the cinema was shot by Sanjay Lama and Rajesh Shrestha. The movie was filmed in various locations across Mustang, Baglung, Kaski, Damauli, Makwanpur, and Kathmandu.
