Ramitako Pirati: A Film Reflecting Gen Z Stories and Emotions?
Entering its second week, 'Ramitako Pirati' is receiving extremely positive feedback from the audience. Viewers are openly praising the film's storytelling and the performances of the actors.
For Ana Sharma, who hadn't heard such words of praise for her acting since 'Jerryy', 'Ramitako Pirati' has acted as a life-giving elixir. Audiences are charmed by her performance, and their feedback suggests that the overall message of the film has touched them deeply.
The cinema presents the journey of love and betrayal of a young woman named Ramita, who grew up in a broken family. However, young viewers have commented that the film, through Ana Sharma’s portrayal, accurately captures the emotions of the Gen Z generation. According to writer and director Sudipta, during theater visits, she has heard from everyone who gave feedback that they felt they were watching their own story.
"Particularly, young women of the Gen Z age group say they found their own stories in Ramitako Pirati. This is a matter of joy for me. However, the main message of the film is our perspective on looking at problems. Is the problem perhaps within ourselves? The way the film inspires the characters to question this has also resonated with the audience. This has given me extra happiness," says Sudipta.
Ana's acting in this film has also won many hearts. Among those praising Ana's performance is actor Bhuwan KC. After watching 'Ramitako Pirati', he commented that he felt a desire to make a film featuring the 'Jerryy' duo, Anmol KC and Ana Sharma.
While speaking to the media, he stated that the cinema is of high quality and Ana's performance in it is even more outstanding. Actresses Reecha Sharma and Benisha Hamal also openly praised the film and Ana's acting.
Distributor Karan Shrestha says the impact is starting to show in theaters as well. He informed that with the increasing interest from the audience, theaters have started adding shows for 'Ramitako Pirati'.
According to Karan, theaters like Labim Mall, Ranjana, One Cinemas, and City Square have added shows, while halls like Kirtipur, Big Movies, and Shubhakamana Banepa have brought back shows that were previously removed. Karan notes that expectations have risen for the film to gain more momentum in the coming week.
