Two Posters of ‘Maijharo’ Released, Film to Hit Theatres from Kartik 7

Kathmandu — The film ‘Maijharo’, which is scheduled to release from Kartik 7, has unveiled two posters. On Thursday, the production team released two posters featuring different looks and confirmed the release date.

The first poster features the lead actors Dhiraj Magar, Miruna Magar, and Diya Pun. Dhiraj and Miruna are shown in traditional Rai community attire playing the drum, while Diya Pun appears in a Dhaka saree representing the Limbu community. The poster indicates that the film is based on a triangular love story.

In the second poster, Dhiraj and Miruna are shown in a romantic pose sitting on a swing. Dhiraj holds a machete, while Miruna, dressed in kurta–suruwal, gazes at him, clearly depicting their romantic relationship.

The film, written and directed by Wilson Bikram Rai, attempts to highlight the natural beauty of the eastern hills and human relationships.

Alongside Dhiraj, Miruna, and Diya, the film features performances by Buddhi Tamang, Sunil Thapa, Pushkar Gurung, Abhayaraj Baral, Maotse Gurung, Kabita Ale, Rajani Gurung, Prem Subba, Uday Subba, Anil Subba, Bhupendra Lingden,and Bishal Limbu.

Produced under the banner of ‘Takme Production’, the film features music by Anmol Gurung and Torem Pahang Rai. Editing is handled by Mitra D Gurung, with songs sung by Rajesh Payal Rai, Jhuma Limbu, Melina Rai, Asmita Adhikari, and Anmol Gurung.

The cinematography is by Saurabh Lama. RR Films has acquired the distribution rights, while OSR has purchased the digital streaming rights. This film marks Wilson Bikram Rai’s debut as both writer and director, though he has previously produced films under ‘Takme Production’.
