'Paran' Enters 51st Day in 30 Theaters; Warm Clothes Distributed to Orphans and the Needy
Kathmandu – Produced under the banner of Bioscope Cinema, the movie Paran has completed its 51st day of screening in more than 30 theaters across the country. To mark this occasion, the Paran team visited the Pabitra Samajsewa Nepal Ashram in Budhanilkantha and distributed warm clothes.
According to the film's producer, Ranjit Acharya, warm clothing was distributed to 65 orphans and elderly residents living in the ashram. Additionally, Producer Acharya mentioned that another special program will be organized next week, during which some special announcements will be made.
Dikshya Chapagain, the operator of Pabitra Samajsewa Nepal Ashram, thanked the Paran team. She had taken the children from the ashram to watch the movie a few weeks ago. Chapagain stated that she showed them the film because it beautifully portrays the love between parents and children.
The film's director, Deepak Prasad Acharya, is thrilled to see the love Paran has received from the audience even after 51 days. He expressed that this affection has made him feel more responsible.
Paran features performances by Neer Shah, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Pooja Chand, Keki Adhikari, Anjana Baraili, Mahesh Tripathi, Pravin Khatiwada, Buddhi Tamang, and others.
Which theaters is Paran currently in?
Paran is still being screened in around 30 theaters nationwide. While it had more than 30 shows on Saturday, it received slightly fewer screens on Sunday. However, the film is still running "Housefull" in several theaters. On Saturday, the cinema hall at Labim Mall in Lalitpur remained Housefull.
Furthermore, there was a strong audience presence in several theaters in the west. The number of viewers remains high in Kathmandu Valley theaters located in Bhaktapur, Chabahil, Gongabu, New Bus Park, and New Baneshwor. Similarly, in major cities outside the valley such as Nepalgunj, Dang, Butwal, Chitwan, and Itahari, the audience turnout remains impressive.
Gross Collection of 18 Crore Rupees
Producer Ranjit Acharya informed that Paran has collected a gross of 18 crore rupees upon completing 51 days. With this, Paran has also become the fourth highest-grossing film in the commercial history of Nepali cinema.
