New Poster of ‘Paran’ Featuring Nir Shah Sparks Speculation About His Role

Kathmandu – A new poster of the film Paran, directed by Deepak Prasad Acharya (Kaku), has been released. The poster, unveiled on Monday, prominently features veteran actor Nir Shah.

Previously, posters showcased actor Mahesh Tripathi and actress Anjana Baraili, but this time the focus has been solely placed on Nir Shah. In the poster, he is seen blowing a conch shell, with expressions of seriousness and wisdom clearly reflected on his face.

This scene hints that the story of the film might revolve around religion, culture, or traditional rituals. The poster has fueled speculations regarding Nir Shah’s role and the film’s storyline, though the makers have not revealed any details. The film carries the tagline “Chalne saasle hoina, saathle” (Life moves ahead not by breath, but by companionship), highlighting the importance of togetherness as the core message.

The movie is expected to emphasize strong emotional elements and the depth of human relationships. With a seasoned actor like Nir Shah in a central role, audiences are anticipating a powerful narrative backed by stellar performances.

Paran is produced by Bioscope Cinema Pvt. Ltd., a company backed by Nepal’s prestigious Golchha Group and Prisma Group. According to Ranjit Acharya, Managing Director of Bioscope Cinema, this is the company’s first project under its sole banner. The story is written by director Deepak Acharya, with screenplay and dialogues by Yam Thapa.

Alongside Nir Shah, the film also stars Mahesh Tripathi, Anjana Baraili, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Pooja Chand, Keki Adhikari, Praveen Khatiwada, Buddhi Tamang, Yaseli Yonghang, Babin Rai, Pushparaj Ojha, Seema Kafle, Daman Rupakheti, Yaman Shrestha, Subratraj Acharya, Suresh Thapa, Binod Rai, and child artist Aryadeep Acharya.

The film features lyrics by director Deepak Acharya and music by Rhythm Kandel, with songs sung by Pramod Kharel, Pushpan Pradhan, Rachana Rimal, and others. Anish Adhikari and Samar Chaulagai are the production managers, while Ajay Upadhyaya serves as the executive producer. The DOP is Shivaram Shrestha, editing is done by Mitra D. Gurung, and choreography is by Sunil Chhetri.

Paran is scheduled for nationwide release on Kartik 14 (October 31), right after Dashain and Tihar festivals. The production team has also announced that a song from the film will be released on Sunday, a day before Phulpati.
