'Paralko Aago' Filming Concludes in 40 Days, Release Date Set for Baisakh 11
Kathmandu. The filming of the movie 'Paralko Aago' has concluded in just 40 days since shooting began. The production team, which started filming in various locations in Myagdi before Dashain, completed the shoot on Tuesday.
Following the wrap-up, the production team has released three different looks of the film and announced the release date. Producer Sushil Pokharel informed that the film will be released on the upcoming Baisakh 11.
He stated, "I have decided not to go for the major film release dates. With the belief that other films should also run well, I am preparing to release my film on an ordinary date."
He also requested others not to clash their films with his release date, out of respect for his colleagues' films.
Pokharel said, "When too many films are released at once, both producers and cinema hall owners suffer huge losses.
I have locked the ordinary date of Baisakh 11, which falls on a Friday, by avoiding all major dates, so that both the producer and the hall can benefit from a gap in releases."
He informed that the entire filming, including four songs, has been completed and the release date has been finalized.
Although the filming was obstructed during the Jen-Z movement, he credits the swift completion of the work to the dedication of the technicians and the director.
According to him, the film's shooting schedule was 30 days, but despite the continuous hard work of the artists and technicians, the shoot took 10 days longer than scheduled due to the Jen-Z movement, rain, and landslides.
"We have spent 40 days filming 'Paralko Aago' in the panoramic Himalayan locations, capturing the fragrance of Nepali soil on a grand canvas," Pokharel said. "The work has been exceptional.
From Saugat Malla, Prakash Saput, Suhana Thapa to child artist Anjila Baniya, everyone has done excellent work."
He mentioned that they spent money on about 600 junior artists and worked according to the location and the essence of the story, even in difficult circumstances.
He added, "In this day and age, the content must be strong. Our content is strong, and we have tried to make a very good cinema. We have not compromised on anything for the film."
The film, which is based on the famous story by Guru Prasad Mainali, stars Saugat Malla, Prakash Saput, Suhana Thapa, Srijana Adhikari, Shankar Acharya, Kishor Bhandari, Kuldeep Adhikari, Sarita Bhandari, Renu Neupane, and child artist Anjila Baniya.
The actors also did workshops in Kathmandu to make their roles powerful, which makes producer Pokharel confident that the film is good.
The film is written by Sushil Devkota and directed by Laxman Sunar. The songs are written by Surendra Rana, Man Bahadur Mukhiya, and Prakash Saput. The music composers are Shanti Thatal, Satya Swaroop, and actor Prakash Saput.
The cinematography of the film, which started shooting in Myagdi on Bhadra 26, is handled by Sankalp Bhujel, and the choreography is by Ramji Lamichhane. Nagendra Ghimire has taken the responsibility of Production Manager.
The production team has announced that R.R. Films has already acquired the distribution rights and OSR has secured the OTT rights for a high price even before the release.
This film, based on the story 'Paralko Aago' included in Guru Prasad Mainali's 'Naso' story collection, has a name similar to the highly successful film made by director Pratap Subba 45 years ago.
