NRNA Membership 2025: Membership Count Crosses 76,000, Japan Leads

Kathmandu, July 18 – The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has released its membership details for the 2025–2027 term. According to the association's MIS system, a total of 76,937 memberships have been approved as of July 18, 2025, while an additional 3,367 new membership applications are currently under review.

Regionally, the Asia Pacific region has the highest number of approved members, totaling 22,279. It is followed by the Americas with 16,762 members, Oceania with 16,538, Europe with 10,969, the Middle East with 9,653, and Africa with 735 members.

By country, Japan leads with 18,381 approved members. Australia ranks second with 15,551, followed by the United States with 10,994. Other countries with notable membership figures include Canada, the UK, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, South Korea, and Ireland. The Asia Pacific region, led by Japan, accounts for 29% of total memberships. The Americas and Oceania contribute 22% each, while Europe accounts for 14%, the Middle East 13%, and Africa 1%.

So far, 56 National Coordination Councils (NCCs) have been integrated into the MIS system, and 57 NCCs have been granted administrative access to approve memberships.

The NRNA is enhancing its digital outreach and transparency through the SMART NRNA mobile app, which aims to make the membership process more efficient and accessible. Japan continues to lead in membership acquisition, with significant participation also seen from Australia and the United States.
