National Campaign Launched for Dengue Control, Health Minister Paudel Appeals to Citizens
Kathmandu –
As the risk of dengue continues to rise across the country, the government has launched a nationwide awareness campaign throughout the month of Shrawan (mid-July to mid-August) to control the spread of dengue. Minister for Health and Population, Pradip Paudel, announced the start of the campaign through social media, urging everyone to actively participate.
Minister Paudel stated that dengue causes significant loss of life each year and emphasized that this campaign aims to prevent a major outbreak this year.
According to him, mosquito larvae that spread dengue can be found around our own surroundings, so it is crucial for everyone to search for and destroy them. He called on schools, neighborhoods, local communities, business establishments, and all public places to engage in cleanup activities, especially targeting areas where water collects and mosquitoes can breed.
"Public participation is essential for the success of this campaign," Minister Paudel said. "Everyone must take responsibility for keeping their surroundings clean to help control the spread of dengue."
