Movie ‘Abhimanyu: Chapter 1’ to Release on Phulpati, September 29
Kathmandu – The movie ‘Abhimanyu: Chapter 1’ is set to release on Phulpati, which falls on September 29, 2025. The film, originally scheduled to premiere on September 12, 2025, was postponed due to the Gen-Z protests.
“The original release date of September 12 had been planned, but considering the country’s difficult situation, we had decided to postpone it. Now, taking the recent nationwide changes positively, and with the aim of keeping our film industry active and dynamic, we have announced a new release date,” said Seven Seas Nepal, the film’s production company, in a statement. “The movie will be released simultaneously across Nepal in the Nepali language from September 29 (Phulpati).
In Hindi, it will release simultaneously in India and worldwide from October 3, 2025.
Producer Binod Paudel explained that since much of the publicity budget had already been invested for the September 12 release, it was not possible to hold back the audience for a long time.
“We have carefully decided to release it on Phulpati. Our aim is not to compete or create a clash with anyone. We also cannot delay it further,” Binod said. “We had a chance for a solo release on September 12, but circumstances brought us to September 29. We have come to this date after careful discussion.”
He also clarified that the film could not be postponed further as shows had already been arranged abroad.
