Filming of ‘Lajjawati’ Begins with Auspicious Ceremony at Pashupatinath Temple

Kathmandu – The film ‘Lajjawati’, directed by Raj Bahadur Sane, commenced its shooting with a shubha muhurat (auspicious ceremony) at the Pashupatinath Temple premises. The event was held on Monday, the first day of Bada Dashain, marking the start of the film’s production.

The muhurat shot of the film was directed by writer Pradeep Bhardwaj. After the ceremonial shot, lead actors Mukun Bhusal, Shreekrishna Niraula, Menuka Majhi, and Januka Bishwakarma took part in the event, followed by producer Vikas Raj Joshi breaking a coconut to bless the film. Director Sane mentioned that the film’s shooting schedule at Pashupati Aryaghat is planned for 30 days.

The film is presented under the banner of Aaha Films, with Saurabh Wali as the presenter. The producers of the movie are Kamal Prasad Sharma and Sandeep Rokaya, with Deepak Bhandari as executive producer and Bhimraj Rokaya as co-producer. Cinematography is handled by Divyaraj Subedi, assisted by Praveen Subedi, while Vishal Baral is the main assistant director and Ravi KC is the makeup artist.

Apart from Mukun, Shreekrishna, Menuka, and Januka, the film will feature performances by Mautse Gurung, Sushil Pokhrel, Hiuwala Gautam, Sapana Shrestha, Priya Rizal, Binod Shrestha, Keshav Rizal, Ramhari Khadka, among others. The production team stated that the release date will be announced only after the completion of all post-production work.
