Movie ‘Jooba’ Announced with Sougat Malla and New Actors; Posters Released

Kathmandu — The new Nepali movie ‘Jooba’ has been officially announced. Popular actor Sougat Malla will play the lead role, joined by two new actors, Sophie Dharel and Sudhan Pokharel, in key roles.

The film will be presented by Astra Films. Prakash Karn will handle the writing and direction, while Barsha Paudel is responsible for the screenplay. Both will also serve as creative producers.

Actress Sophie Dharel will make her acting debut with this movie. For Sudhan Pokharel, this is his third film, but it is his first time in a lead role.

Along with the announcement, three character posters have been released:

The first poster features Sougat Malla alone, greeting the camera, highlighting his identity as an actor.

The second poster shows Sougat and Sophie in a PCO, talking on the phone, suggesting the story is set two decades ago. Sophie appears angry, while Sougat looks serious on the call.

The third poster features Sudhan Pokharel as a villain, smoking a cigarette, clearly indicating a dangerous character.

The production team has not yet revealed details about the movie’s plot, other cast members, or additional aspects of the film.
