Various Highways Affected Due to Floods and Landslides
Kathmandu. Various major highways and road sections across the country have been affected due to floods and landslides. According to details released by Nepal Police, roads at several locations have been completely blocked or restricted to one-way traffic due to landslides.
In Rasuwa, main highways have been completely blocked due to flooding since 10:30 AM on August 26 (Bhadra 10), and police report these sections will remain closed until further notice. Additionally, the Beni–Jomsom road section at Baisari in Raghuganga Rural Municipality-2 is completely blocked by a landslide. Meanwhile, along the Kaligandaki Corridor, a landslide at Janti Pahiro in Baudikali Rural Municipality-3 has reduced traffic to one-way operation.
