Kathmandu, Septmeber 18
The first look poster of the film ‘Paran’, directed by Deepak Prasad Acharya (Kaku), has been unveiled.
Along with the first look release on Thursday, it was officially announced that the film will be released in theaters from Kartik 14 (October 31).
The poster features the lead actors, Mahesh Tripathi and Anjana Baraili. They are shown embracing each other, and the presence of sindoor (vermillion) on Anjana’s parting indicates that they are a married couple, although the production team has not confirmed this.
In the poster, Mahesh appears in a serious pose, while Anjana rests her head on his chest, presenting a calm and gentle expression. The seriousness in Mahesh’s eyes hints at possible challenges or ups and downs in their relationship.
The film’s tagline, ‘Saasle Haina, Saathle Chalne’ (“It’s not breath, but companionship that sustains”), reflects the central theme of the movie, highlighting the importance of emotional support and relationships over mere physical existence.
Baiscope Cinema Pvt. Ltd., a company partnered by the prestigious Golcha Group and Prisma Group, has produced the film. According to Managing Director Ranjit Acharya, ‘Paran’ is the company’s first project under its own banner.
Senior actor Neer Shah plays a prominent role. Alongside Mahesh and Anjana, the cast includes Madan Krishna Shrestha, Pooja Chand, Keki Adhikari, Prabin Khatiwada, Buddhi Tamang, Yaseli Yonghang, Babin Rai, Pushparaj Ojha, Seema Kafle, Daman Rupakheti, Yaman Shrestha, Subrataraj Acharya, Suresh Thapa, Binod Rai, and child actor Aryadip Acharya.
The story is by Deepak Acharya, and the screenplay and dialogues are prepared by Yam Thapa.
Director Acharya shared that with the release of the first look, promotion for the film has begun. He said,
"So far, we focused on making the film as good as possible. The post-production work is almost complete. Now, we will move forward rapidly with promotion."
The film’s music is composed by Rhythm Kandel, with songs featuring vocals by Pramod Kharel, Pushpan Pradhan, and Rachana Rimal, among others. Shibaram Shrestha is the DOP, and Mitra D. Gurung has edited the film.
‘Paran’ will be released in theaters across the country from Kartik 14 (October 31), following the Dashain and Tihar festivals.
