Emotional and Traditional Teej Song ‘Aama Le Sune Lukera Rolin’ Released
Kathmandu – As the Teej festival approaches, a wave of vulgar and socially inappropriate songs has flooded the market. However, standing in stark contrast, a soulful and traditional Teej song titled ‘Aama Le Sune Lukera Rolin’ has been released, offering depth, emotion, and cultural authenticity.
The song features lyrics by Ranjana Kadariya, music composed by Sajina Lamichhane, and vocals by Sanju Neupane. Rooted in folk traditions, this Teej song reflects the voices of women—highlighting their experiences, emotions, and struggles. Traditionally sung by women during the festival, Teej songs are more than just music; they are a reflection of women’s lives and a mirror to society.
‘Aama Le Sune Lukera Rolin’ captures the pain caused by child marriage, mismatched marriages, polygamy, and the pressure women face within families. Through its visuals and lyrics, it offers a seasonal yet powerful glimpse into the social reality of Nepali women.
The music video features Sajina Lamichhane herself in the lead role. Supporting roles are portrayed by Ranjana Kadariya, Khadananda Kadariya, Niru Kadariya, Basu Khanal, Bhima Mainali, and Bhuvan Bhattarai.
The song’s makeup is done by Sangita Mahatara, cinematography by Ramit Bohora, editing by Raj Dhami, and direction by Sajina Lamichhane.
This song is expected to resonate with audiences by honoring the authentic spirit of Teej and presenting a heartfelt narrative of women’s realities.
