Abhimanyu: Chapter 1” to Release Worldwide on October 10

Kathmandu. The much-awaited Nepali film “Abhimanyu: Chapter 1” has rescheduled its release date to October 10. The movie was earlier planned for September 29 (Fulpati) but was pushed back to avoid a clash with four other Nepali films releasing the same day.
Issuing a statement on Sunday, the producers said the new date was chosen in response to concerns from exhibitors and distributors about limited show allocations. The film will now enjoy a solo release, which the team believes will benefit both the movie and the industry.
The makers also clarified that “Abhimanyu: Chapter 1” will be released simultaneously in Nepal, India, and worldwide in both Nepali and Hindi languages.
“We had initially aimed to release on September 12 but had to postpone due to the Gen-Z movement in the country. With multiple films lined up for September 29, it would have been difficult for theaters to provide sufficient shows. Considering all factors, we have finalized October 10 as the new release date. We apologize for any inconvenience caused,” the statement read.
Produced under the banner of Seven Seas Cinema, the film stars Kameshwar Chaurasiya, Sarita Giri, Kiran Shrestha, Laxmi Bardewa, Gaumaya Gurung, Prakash Dahal, and Shishir Wangdel in lead roles. Directed by Sushant Gautam with creative direction by Madan Thapa, the screenplay is written by Mukesh Khanal.
The production team includes producers Binod Poudel and Gunjan Giri, co-producers Ramesh Chaulagain and Hari Shrestha, and executive producers Bishal Lama, Hari Moktan, Krishna Bhattarai, Nirajan Luintel, and Sandesh Shrestha. Technical credits feature Sharad Mahato (DOP), Manoj Shrestha (VFX), Junim Gahatraj (color grading), and Madan Ghimire (editing).
With its simultaneous release in Nepali and Hindi across Nepal, India, and other countries, “Abhimanyu: Chapter 1” is being regarded as a significant step forward for Nepali cinema.
