Kathmandu – “Kathmandu Youth Conclave 2025” will be organized in the capital on Saturday with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship, leadership, management, and industrial skills among youth.
The conclave aims to empower young people with essential leadership, entrepreneurial, and professional skills, according to the organizers. Jointly organized by Universal College, Phoenix College of Management, and Aryan School of Engineering and Management, the program will provide opportunities for youth to develop entrepreneurship and leadership skills.
Raju Tandon, the conclave coordinator, stated that the main objectives of the program include helping students find the right career path, promoting promising startups, encouraging social engagement and outreach, bringing necessary changes to the traditional education system, and connecting celebrities and stakeholders with young talent.
The program will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Nepal Pragya–Pratishthan auditorium in Kamaladi, Kathmandu. Organizers expect around five thousand students to participate, making it the largest leadership platform organized by the colleges.
The conclave will feature music, songs, comedy, startup presentations, and various social and educational activities. The program also aims to urge the government to take youth concerns seriously and inspire young people to explore opportunities within Nepal rather than seeking them abroad.
Special guests include MMA athlete Rabindra Dhat, popular singer Durgesh Thapa, Ncell CEO Saeed Mohammad Inamul Kabeer, A.G. Dan Bahadur Karki from Nepal Police, singers Bhek and Khem Sangraula, comedian and TV host Sandeep Kshetri, former Nepal cricket captain Paras Khadka, director Pradip Lama, writer Ruksana Kapali, women’s cricket player Indu Verma, singers Oseen Karki and Laxmi Acharya, among others.
During the event, Sisan Baniya will be honored with the “KYC–2025 Youth Icon” award, and Durgesh Thapa will be presented the “Performer of the Year” title.
This is the sixth edition of the program, which started in 2019 (B.S. 2076), and the organizers have stated that it will be held annually.
