Upendra Yadav Blames Congress and Communists for Country’s Current Turmoil

Saptari. Chairman of the Janata Samajwadi Party, Upendra Yadav, has stated that the country is in a difficult situation because the Nepali Congress and Communist parties failed to maintain good governance, development, and prosperity. Addressing an election discussion and interaction program organized on Saturday in Hardiya, Ward No. 3 of Rupani Rural Municipality in Saptari, he said both parties are responsible for the current state of affairs.

Stating that the Congress and Communists were responsible for the governments formed after the 1990 people's movement, he said, "Because they could not maintain good governance, development, and prosperity in the country, the younger generation has been agitated recently, and the country has been forced into an uneasy situation."

Chairman Yadav mentioned that instead of managing education, health, and industry, these sectors were privatized and politicized, leading to the collapse of government structures. Yadav, who is also a candidate from Saptari Constituency No. 3, urged voters to keep questioning leaders who make promises during elections but fail to fulfill them after winning until they are satisfied.

He stated that leaders will only improve if they are asked why promises regarding roads, hospitals, schools, colleges, and irrigation systems were not kept. "People must keep asking questions to leaders; only then will leaders become responsible," he said.

Claiming that changes in the country were possible because of the Janata Samajwadi Party, Chairman Yadav urged the people to elect JSP candidates with a majority for their own future and the future of upcoming generations.

He mentioned that after winning the election from Saptari-2, he initiated projects like the Ramraja Prasad Singh Health Science Academy, Agriculture University, advanced infrastructure at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital, engineering and nursing college buildings, and paved roads to bring about radical change, some of which are nearing completion.
