'Viral Gorkhe' to be Released in Various Indian Cities
The Nepali film 'Viral Gorkhe', which has been screening in Nepali theaters since January 15, is now set for release in various cities across India. As the film enters its second week this coming Friday, it is preparing for its upcoming international screening.
Producer Amit Shrestha stated that a verbal agreement has already been reached with a company that handles the release of Nepali films in India. Shrestha claims that the representative responsible for the Indian release is scheduled to arrive in Nepal in a few days to finalize the written agreement.
According to Shrestha, the film will be screened in the Indian capital, Delhi, as well as cities with significant Nepali-speaking populations, including Darjeeling, Siliguri, Gangtok, Kurseong, Kalimpong, and Assam. The production team noted that distributors reached out to them for the Indian release after the film received excellent audience feedback in Nepal.
Producer Shrestha mentioned that all preparations for the Indian release are complete, and the process will move forward following the written contract. The production team also claims that the film is seeing an increasing flow of audiences in Nepal, which is reflected in the ticket booking websites of various theaters.
The film tells the story of the struggles and eccentric antics of the lead character, Saugat Malla (Gorkhe), in his quest to become viral on social media. In this movie, Saugat is paired with actress Shristi Shrestha. The interesting trailer of 'Viral Gorkhe' has successfully generated excitement among the audience.
Nigam Shrestha, who previously directed films like 'Chhadke', 'Lalpurja', and 'Chhadke 2', directed 'Viral Gorkhe'. He expressed confidence that this film fully showcases his directorial capabilities and fulfills his desire to present a beautiful movie to the audience. Director Shrestha believes that viewers will like the film because it deals with contemporary and household themes.
Produced under the banners of AK Brother Company, The GMI Academy, and Nirvana Film School, the movie features performances by Saugat Malla, Shristi Shrestha, Buddhi Tamang, Laxmi Giri, Rajaram Paudel, Rishi Dhamala, Rabi Bhujel, and Miss Pabi.
The producers are Amit Shrestha, Bishal Tamrakar, Mahesh Lamichhane, and Kebal Jung Kunwar, while the co-producers are Nirvana Film School, Bhuwan Adhikari, and Nikhil Paudel.
With cinematography by Amar Maharjan, the film was shot in Bhujung village of Lamjung, Gorkha, and Chitwan. The distributors for 'Viral Gorkhe' are Sunil Manandhar, with Shri Shrestha as the stunt director, and Bande Prasad, Rabi Chaudhary, and Bhim Bishwakarma as editors.
